Over the Past 15 years I have had the opportunity to work with many minority and women owned businesses not only here locally in the capital region but in many areas throughout the state of New York.

This experience has given us a unique perspective in the area of affirmative action, minority/women recruiting and retention, M/WBE and local community maximization, HUD section 3 and workforce compliance.

Our approach to maximizing diversity and Economic Inclusion on public funded projects is to work closely with our strategic alliances and partner with State, County, and local affirmative action offices as well as the business associations.

Our plan to maximize diversity and economic inclusion of local residents for employment opportunities and M/WBE firms for contracts is to 1).  Build capacity, and 2). Provide and sustain opportunity.

You build capacity by using creative approaches to reaching M/WBE firms business workshops, job fairs, working with the local community leaders and utilizing media to get the information out.

We provide/ sustain the opportunity by offering technical assistance, creating reasonable bid packages, enforcing compliance, monitoring and tracking and feedback.

At Gardner Business Services we us proprietary tools and technology monitor and track contract compliance, outreach management, and utilization monitoring and reporting.
